Danilo Petrucci demonstrated great skill and tenacity during the first Australian flag to flag race, thanks also to the use of Accossato brake hoses provided to the Barni Racing Team. Starting from fifth position, he joined the group chasing Bulega and, after a series of overtakes and counter-overtakes, maintained fifth position during the tire change. As the laps went by, and thanks to the precision of Accossato brake hoses, Petrucci became increasingly aggressive, managing to overtake Redding on lap 17 and finishing in fourth place, the best among independent riders.
In the Superpole Race, Petrucci achieved the first podium of the season with a solid third place. On the Phillip Island circuit, thanks to a consistent race and the reliability of Accossato brake hoses, Petrucci climbed to third position after a mistake by Bautista and maintained the advantage over Redding, who had climbed from eleventh position.
In Race 2, Petrucci had a brilliant start from third position but was attacked by Redding and then by Razgatlioglu, slipping to seventh position. After the pit stop, Petrucci lost contact with the leading group, but managed to recover, finishing the race in fifth position after an intense duel with Sam Lowes, also thanks to the readiness and precision offered by Accossato brake hoses.
Overall, Petrucci’s performance, supported by Accossato brake hoses, was solid and consistent, significantly contributing to the team’s success. Now, the team is preparing for private tests on the Algarve circuit on March 14 and 15.
