The weekend of the Barni Spark Racing Team, which has collaborated with Accossato for years, ends in the best way: with Yari Montella’s victory in the Supersport race. A race with heartbeat because a mistake, during the second lap, while he was in second position, made Yari plummet to seventh position. The rider from Campania did not lose his concentration and from that moment on an exciting comeback began that brought the #55 back into the lead as early as lap 8. In the second half of the race Montella maintained a pace that did not allow either Manzi or Navarro to approach and won his sixth victory of the season. Now his disadvantage in the championship standings is 41 points, with two rounds still to go.
In Superbike Danilo experienced a defensive Sunday, still bringing home two sixth places.
In the Superpole Race he continued to complain of lack of confidence on the front and this prevented him from responding to the overtakes he suffered. Starting from the second row in Race 2, he passed Van der Mark on the fifth lap to move into fifth position, then suffered the return of Bulega and formed a little train with the Ducati Factory rider, Gerloff and Iannone. Petrucci never quite lost contact, but he was never able to get close enough to try to overtake the BMW rider.
The Aragón round closes for him with a haul of 25 points. Thanks to these results Petrucci moved up to fourth in the championship standings at 277.
