New year and same result Jorge remains with Pecco the same brightest in the Moto GP world championship.
Martin was uncatchable right from the start by winning the Sprint Race of the Qatar GP, the opener of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship, reaffirming that he was almost unbeatable for Saturday’s short race.
The rider from Madrid in the 11 laps of the Sprint Race dictated the pace from the start with dominant pace and won his tenth Sprint victory.
In Sunday’s race, starting from pole position, he was immediately overtaken by Pecco Bagnaia and then battled throughout the race with Brad Binder, finishing third at the finish line behind the South African KTM rider.
In the world championship standings Martin is third just three points behind world champion Pecco Bagnaia.
